Greetings FLSSAMTmembers!
Happy Spring! I hope everyone is enjoying the nice Florida weather.
The spring 2024 meeting was held in Cocoa Beach on May 4th. We had a great lineup of speakers, great facilities, and great food. I truly enjoyed getting to talk with new members as well as those familiar faces. We had 9 new members in person and 3 new members online!! To those folks, I again would like to say Welcome to the Florida State Society! Pictures will be uploaded to the Florida page on AMTsoon!
Don’t forget the Annual Meeting is in St. Louis, Missouri at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch from July 8-12. Florida is sending 9 delegates to the meeting!
I’m sure you have heard Florida is hosting the Magnolia Educational Treasurers (MET) meeting this fall. It will be held in Maitland at the Sheraton Orlando North Hotel from September 19-22. The reservation link is open to make your reservations. Go on the AMTto the Florida page for the link. We have another great lineup of speakers. There is also going to be a wine/cheese event and silent auction as well. Come and join the fun.
There is still time to get involved in the state society by being on some of the various committees. This is your state society so get involved!

Hello FLSS色中色app!
Well, we survived our first-ever Hybrid meeting on May 4, 2024. If you attended, whether in person or remotely, we were happy to see you all again. We were so thrilled to have 12 new members in attendance. It was a bit rough for our first hybrid and we appreciated the supportive comments and watching members helping members online. I do hope all of you will join us for our upcoming meetings.
The Magnolia Educational Treasures is scheduled for Sept 19-22,2024 at the North Orlando Sheraton Hotel by Marriott in Maitland, Florida with educational presentations on Friday, Sept 20th, and Saturday the 21st. We have a boatload of CE credits waiting for you. Watch your email for more info. I am sure you have seen the save the date flyers with the hotel link for reservations. Make those reservations as soon as you can. This is an 11-state event and you do not want to miss out!
April 26th is our FLSSAMT2025 Spring Meeting at the North Ft. Lauderdale Marriott. Save That Date and watch for more information.
I want to encourage everyone to sign up for the Florida Communities page. The information posted there comes to you in an email nearly instantly! Our website will still have information, as well as meeting registration and our Job postings, but to save data use, we will be putting most of our posting on Florida鈥檚 Communities communication page and library.
Zombie Season is nearly upon us and I encourage you to get that emergency plan in place now. Reminding you all to stock up, charge up, and fill up. Get those 72 hr. kits together and evaluate your environments for needed repairs, and preparations. Encourage your workplace to start putting together their emergency plans. Stock up on bug repellent and sunscreen!
Always remember to lend a hand to someone who needs it and to accept a hand when offered! We are in this together!
