President's Message
The MENHSSAMTdelegates had a great time at the 2023 Annual Meeting this summer in Norfolk, Virginia. There were many great educational opportunities to attend and, on a side note, some great sightseeing adventures!
The Northeast Laboratory Fall Conference was well attended. We were up 33 total attendees from last year鈥檚 conference. The number of vendors was almost doubled from the previous year as well, we are certainly making a comeback from COVID. The wine and cheese social was awesome and of course, had great food. It was great to visit with friends and meet new medical professionals.
At our Fall Business Meeting, we enjoyed having Ivette, our Eastern District Councillor, join us. She announced that 2024 was her last year as our councillor. It's hard to believe she has been our councillor for 8 years.
Lastly, I would like to extend an invitation to our membership to become involved in our State Society. Please join us at our business meetings when we conduct them. We conduct two meetings a year, and we provide a meal, compliments of the MNHSS色中色app. I know we all have very busy lives and putting something else on our agenda can be overwhelming, but we only ask for a couple hours of your time. You can be considered active by attending those 2 meetings and consequently be eligible to participate as a delegate to the AMTAnnual Meeting. Many of you have asked about continuing education, and we provide scientific education in conjunction with the Northeast Laboratory Fall conference.
